| So-So Series, Great Finale |
That final pitch from Wainwright dropped off the table. Maybe it was just me, but the series -- for a seven-gamer -- didn't seem that great up until the last game, which was excellent.

| Oliver Perez |
We all know he's got stuff and that consistency/control has killed him, but for one game, he's the most talented pitcher besides Carpenter on either roster. He's gonna give the Mets 4 shutout innings tonight and turn it over to the best bullpen in the NL. While pressure is usually seen as a disadvantage, it many times focuses inconsistent players such as Josh Beckett and hopefully it'll do the same for Perez. Suppan had a great game 3, but he's not a pitcher who will dominate after a team's seen him in the series already. He just doesn't have dominant stuff. Mets win 6-2 (Wagner will give up 2 AGAIN).

| Uribe is No Urbina |
| Juan Uribe, though he denies it, supposedly fired a pellet gun at a guy who stepped too close to his Jeep. Come on, Juan. A pellet gun? That's all you got? Ugueth Urbina could teach him a thing or two about justice, South American style. What, you didn't have any lighter fluid or machetes handy?
UPDATE: Dominican police issued an arrest warrant for Uribe. Looks like the White Sox might be in the market for a shortstop.

| When you hire a guy nicknamed "Psycho," expect him to say a few crazy, offensive things.
This particular transgression seemed less offensive and more inane. I'm not sure why it was a fireable offense and other comments were not, unless it's a "straw breaking the camel's back sort of situation."
