| What is Isiah Doing? |
| The Knicks just traded Antonio Davis' expiring contract for Jalen Rose, whose contract doesn't expire until after next year. What possible rationale can there be for that?
Are the Knicks poised to contend this year? No. Are they likely to contend next year without signing someone given the extra cap room? Of course not. Is Rose a significant upgrade over Quentin Richardson (incidentally under contract for another four years)? No.
When a professional GM makes moves that even the dumbest fantasy owner in your league would never ever make, and would be veteoed if he did, you have to wonder who he has photos of and what they were doing in those photos. Hopefully, the sexual harrassment allegation sticks, because clearly absymal job performance is not grounds for termination in the Knicks organization.

| "Ghetto Prom" Gets Warriors PR Guy Fired |
| Want to make billions? Invent an email retrieval system for guys like this:
The public-relations manager for the Golden State Warriors was fired Wednesday for inadvertently sending out a racially insensitive e-mail titled "Ghetto Prom" to the team's entire media distribution list. Eric Govan, the No. 3 person on the Warriors' media relations staff, sent the e-mail featuring 17 photos, many depicting scantily clad black people in formal attire and commentary on the outfits. The e-mail went to dozens of newspaper reporters, columnists and sports editors, as well as television and radio stations.

| No Super Bowl for Blazers |
| The Portland Trail Blazers apparently had a trip set up to go to the Super Bowl, but NBA vetoed the idea. According to the Tacoma News Tribune, "the Blazers are playing a game in Denver on Saturday, and then have four days off before playing again in Detroit. The team had the entire trip set up, including the procurement of tickets, before the league stepped in and told the Blazers they could not do it."
What could possibly be the rationale for not allowing the team to go? And why does a team have to have the NBA's premission to take a trip somewhere?
