It was nice to see the happiness exhibited by Cardinals' safety Adrian Wilson on Tuesday after his first career Pro Bowl selection. He was a surprise omission from the game last year but went to Hawaii anyway because "I couldn't tell my wife we're not going to Hawaii." Here are a few more of his Tuesday comments:"I thought someone was playing on the other line. I was like, Michael [Bidwell, team president] don't have my phone number, why would he even call me?"
"He said he had some good news. I thought we traded for [Allen] Iverson."
"I had to go in the closet because I didn't want to scare my son."
"I sent text messages to pretty much everyone in my phone."
"[The caller ID] came up restricted, obviously Michael doesn't want me to have his phone number."
It's nice to see a pro athlete with so much joy over an all-star game selection. Wilson is certainly deserving, with four interceptions, four sacks, four forced fumbles, two defensive touchdowns and 76 tackles (69 solo) this season.
