| Young Growing Up |
The development of Titans rookie QB Vince Young is taking off. In his first six games of significant playing time, Young was 66-of-146 passing (45.2%) for 735 yards (5 YPA). He was intercepted six times and threw five touchdown passes.
Over his last four games, Young was 60-of-107 passing (56.1%) for 724 yards (6.8 YPA) - an average of almost 60 more yards per game through the air. He threw three interceptions vs. five TDs. And it wasn't because his schedule softened; those four games were against the Ravens, Eagles, Giants, and Colts.
And here's the strange part: the improved passing numbers aren't coming because he's trying to rely on his arm more than his legs - he's actually running more. In his first six games, he carried the ball 29 times for 137 yards (4.7 YPC) with two TDs. In his last four, he took off 33 times for 235 yards (7.1 YPC) with two TDs.
A lot has been made of the Falcons' Mike Vick in fantasy circles as the fantasy stud who may never turn into a real-life winner. If Young keeps making strides like he has this season, he could become both in a hurry. The question is, where will he rank in next year's fantasy drafts?

| Not So Fast... |
| I usually side on the glass half-full side of things, especially when it comes to sports, but I have to disagree with this Arizona Republic reporter's position that the Cardinals will win next year's Super Bowl in their home stadium. Until the Cardinals dramatically improve their offensive line, they will not be even close to a good team. Sure, they have some good components, but this franchise has a 3-9 record and one 100-yard rushing game since 2004. Prior to this season, there was so much hype that the Cardinals would be an offensive powerhouse, and it has not materialized. I think the Cardinals have some very good fantasy players, and I think they'll be better in 2007 than they are in 2006, but I think they're a very long way from playing in the Super Bowl.

| Down 20-0, 0:04 left ... kick a FG? |
There was a weird sight at the end of the Steelers-Bucs game in Week 13, when the Bucs lined up for a 27-yard field goal on the last play of the game (which Matt Bryant converted). However, it was not a game-winning or game-tying attempt; the Bucs were down 20-0 at the time. Rather than try another pass into the end zone from the 9-yard line on the last play of the game, head coach Jon Gruden simply tried to avert the shutout instead. After the game, Gruden said he didn't want rookie quarterback Bruce Gradkowski to leave with a shutout after playing in front of his family and hometown friends in Pittsburgh. What would you have done in that situation, down 20-0 with 0:04 left ... send in the kicker, or send four receivers to the end zone and throw the ball?
