Oh boy. What is this world coming to? In my search for important nuggets of fantasy news for Rotowire readers, I came upon the following two "insights" (and trust me, I use that word lightly here). To be honest, I was immediately taken back to vintage Saturday Night Live episodes when they threw to the segment called "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey". If you've seen them, you'll know what I mean.
First, buried in an article in the Boston Globe comes this: "After starting the season with a gold Warrior stick, [Mark] Savard, the NHL's No. 1 star of the week, has played the past three games with a blue Warrior model."
Then, even more -- this time from the St. Petersburg Times:
HEADLINE: Prospal fights slump with color shift FIRST LINE: "Vinny Prospal said he is so frustrated with his seasonlong slump, he has changed the tape on his stick from black to white to try to change his luck."
I ask you this -- do you really care? Does this impact your roster decisions? And why should we continue to allow some (not all) media outlets to treat us as though we're dumb as stumps?
