The thing I like about Cory Stillman is his ability to elevate the games of those around him. Coming off a Stanley Cup in Tampa Bay, Stillman wasn't respected (big mistake by the Bolts) and he found a home in Carolina. He, along with Rod Brind'Amour, pretty much delivered the Cup up the coast to Hurricanes' faithful. And now, he heads to Ottawa.
How far behind can the Cup be?
The Canes get a PP quarterback in Joe Corvo whose fantasy value skyrockets -- just don't look at what he does or doesn't do in his own zone. Patrick Eaves and Mike Commodore are both functional guys but neither is going to turn the heads of any puck bunnies...
The Sens have dramatically improved their character and their depth. The top two lines -- Heatley/Spezza/Stillman and Alfredsson/Fisher/Neil or Donovan or who cares -- are now a formidable six.
Now, will Ray Emery be the next one jettisoned?
