| Michael Jordan was a problem gambler (some have speculated that his gambling was tied to his father's murder), Barry Bonds is a cheater, and Gretzky's apparently a liar.
On the bright side, none of them pulled an OJ... yet.

| The Great Gaffesky? |
Regardless of your opinion on gambling, Gretzky's public denials on television threaten to turn the whole situation into a Bill Clinton-like scenario, where the fact that his lying became more important than the actual reason for the investigation. Of course, Clinton was was (or is-is, his words, not mine) under oath. We don't know fully what the Gretzky wire taps say.
PS - I never thought I'd type the words "Gretzky" and "wire taps" in the same sentence. Crazy.

| Fantasy implications of playing hockey in the Olympic Games |
While most of us patriotic sods are pining to see our home country bring home a golden medal from the Olympics, we should also pause to consider the impact the Games may have on our fantasy rosters during the stretch run. Some of our big guns took all last season off and are playing a condensed, 82-games sked. That's a tough slog. Along comes the Olympics where our best fantasy stars have to battle jet lag, the time difference, potential ice issues, a one-referee system and heaven forbid, an injury just to represent their country. Don't get me wrong -- if I had the chance to live the Olympic dream, I'm all over it. But a tired NHLer with reduced fantasy output during my fantasy stretch run means I'm one ticked chick come April. Food for thought.

| Tylenol for Tocchet? |
Isn't anyone else pissed at the alleged gambling situation implicating Rick Tocchet? I've always thought Tocchet was the most complete player the Penguins ever had (not best, but complete), and he only played a couple seasons in the 'Burgh. If this is true, he's got about as much sense as hair on his head. What a major bummer...
