Watching the end of the Sabres-Rangers game tonight got me thinking about how many teams are heading into the playoffs with rookie netminders, which always seems to raise a red flag. The Rangers, Buffalo (Miller), the Flyers (likely Nittymaki), possibly Ottawa (Emery) if Hasek can't return, Atlanta (Lehtonen) LA (Garon), Vancouver (Auld), Colorado (Budaj) and then on to unproven guys like Legace and Grahme, should Tampa get in. So how will these guys perform in the playoffs, as you never know how rookies will do. Do these teams with young netminders, despite how great they've been in some cases teamwise, get downgraded cause of their goalies and do teams like Dallas and Calgary possibly have an edge because of their backstops. How do you guys think this could play out?
