The starting netminders for Saturday's matchup between the Kings and Red Wings were Sean Burke (age 40) and Dominek Hasek (age 42). I'm sure Elias looks up this sort of thing, but I wonder if this comes close to the oldest starting netminder pairing in NHL history. The old-timers certainly didn't have an easy time of things either, facing a combined 80 shots (54 by Burke) in the 3-2 Detroit overtime victory. I wonder how many tubes of Ben-Gay were used after the game...
