How long does newly re-acquired goalie Dominik Hasek's aching groin last this time? Twelve games? Twenty? Or worse 47, with the inevitable injury coming just weeks from the playoffs. Yes, he was brilliant last season, pre-injury. But does this signing signal a go-for-broke attitude in Detriot? An aging blue line, a need-to-deliver-or-leave Datysuk and a picked-over farm system seem to spell an all-or-nothing approach in Hockeytown. Win now with the pieces that are there. Sure, there's lots of talent but I think they're a piece and a bit shy of delivering the Cup, particularly with the loss of Stevie Y's leadership. And Dom? I just don't like those odds. My guess? Detroit bows out AGAIN.
