*Now* how much would you pay for Mark Prior? In a mixed league? In an NL-only league?

I'll say this - if the Cubs are ever at odds with Will Carroll or Rick Wilton about an injured player, I'm taking the side opposite of the Cubs. Will Carroll probably isn't pleased that it worked out this way (he's a Cub fan), but he has to feel some sense of vindication here.

Comments....

Jeff,
I have him long-termed for $23 and locked up for two more years and am actively trying to deal him. If not, may cut him and take the cap hit now rather than wasting the spot and the salary.

What's so stupid is that it was so thinly veiled, when they were saying all along they "hoped" he'd be ready for the start of the regular season. Who "hopes" a starter will be ready for the season? You know or you don't know. I hope the Cubs' faithful revolts on their management, especially when the Southsiders start busting out the incantations of "where's your ring?"
