I don't really know if I am reading this right, and need some clarification. The Tribe GM said today, "This [GM] job by nature, in probably all markets but about six to eight, causes you to separate from fans' opinions."
I am a bit perplexed as to what that actually means, but will take a shot. Are the "six to eight" teams that Shapiro is talking about the ones with the big payrolls..? Is he saying that public opinion dictates more in a bigger markets, than in smaller ones..? Or did I miss it altogether..?
Please help.
