Ever wonder what smacktalk precipitates hockey fights? Well, Georges Laraque gives us a listen as he wears a television microphone during this fight. Did Laraque tell Raitis Ivanans that he fights like a school girl? Did he drop some F-bombs? Did he make a nasty reference about Ivanans' mother? Did he call him a commie?
No, he said, nonchalantly as can be,:
"Wanna do it? OK. So we're up? OK. Good luck then."
You gotta love that. It's like the hockey was boring them. So, hey, I have an idea, let's throw some blows. It's as matter of fact as a mob hit. I wonder how often that happens. Fake fights in the NHL ... naw, couldn't be ...
