As a graduate transfer from Quinnipiac, McLean will be eligible to play immediately for Texas Tech. He could be a candidate to see big minutes right away in the backcourt after Texas Tech lost its top two scoring guards, Toddrick Gotcher and Devaugntah Williams, to graduation. In his lone season at Quinnipiac, McLean averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
