Roe's career at Michigan State is over due to degenerative knee pain, The Lansing State Journal reports.

Roe was a top-20 recruit but he was never able to recover from an ACL tear early in his career. Roe averaged 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game as a Spartan.

Roe scored 16 points on six-of-seven shooting on Wednesday night, this as Michigan State captured a 62-54 win over Iowa at home and garnered a 1 1/2 game lead in conference play over all other Big Ten opponents.

It was a career-best for Roe, who has seen his playing increasing steadily since the beginning of February. The freshman also finished with three rebounds, one assists, and one block on the night.
