Timmons (ankle) is out for the season after undergoing successful surgery to repair the Achilles tendon in his right leg, Tammy Nunez of The Times-Picayune reports.

Timmons' loss is a big blow for the Green Wave, as he was the team's leading scorer prior to his injury. His absence has already been felt in two narrow losses to Rice and Tulsa since his injury. Expect Ricky Tarrant and Jordan Callahan to take on a greater bulk of the scoring load in Timmons' place.
