Jurkin has transferred to East Tennessee State, Jeff Goodman reports.

The seven-footer only saw 11 games of action in two years for the Hoosiers and made almost no impact at all for the team. He is transferring to an East Tennessee State team that needs a rim protector. The Bucs do not have a center listed on the roster and just two power forwards that are somewhat undersized, so if Jurkin can find a way to gain regular playing time, he can most likely make an impact.

Jurkin was suspended for nine games because he received impermissible benefits, the AP reports. Forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea was also suspended.

Jurkin is a seven-foot center who is expected to be Cody Zeller's primary backup. The Hoosiers will enter the season a little light in the roster.
