Coleman (knee) is ramping up his activity at recent practices, Syracuse.com reports.

Coleman continues to progress from surgery last January to repair damaged cartilage in his knee. Coleman (knee) will not play in Friday's game versus Kennesaw State, Mike Waters of Syracuse.com reports.

Still in the recovery process from knee surgery that ended his 2013-14 campaign prematurely, Coleman is slated to be out of action for at least the first couple of games of the 2014-15 season. Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim is hopeful of having his Junior big man back in action to some capacity by the end of November.

Coleman suffered a leg injury last season in January and is still in the thick of the rehab process. While it's unclear when he'll return, it does seem that he'll be able to play by the end of the 2014-15 season.

Coleman is continuing to progress in his rehab from a leg injury that ended his season in January, Syracuse.com reports. "Hopefully, I'll start jogging next month [August]," said Coleman on what's next in his rehab program.

Coleman's progress has been very gradual, but he has been making strides nonetheless. The swelling in the area has become less and less severe in recent weeks, and Coleman says that the swelling subsides much more quickly now than it did earlier in his recovery. Coleman expects to be back for the regular season, but that will depend on how his knee responds to the physical grind of practicing every day at full speed.
