Devon Williams: College career ends following neck injury
FNew Mexico
Neck
November 19, 2015
Williams has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, which will effectively end his college basketball career, ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams had been poised to see a key reserve role in his junior campaign, but that will unfortunately be cut short due to the risky nature of the injury. He's dealing with a narrowing of the spinal canal, and apparently paralysis would be a legitimate concern if he were to continue playing. Williams will continue to undergo treatment and analysis, but the next step for the 6-foot-8 forward remains to be seen.
