Evans just missed a double-double Sunday, posting nine points and nine rebounds in 28 minutes, as Wisconsin won its season opener against Southeastern Louisiana.

While he notched two assists and one block, Evans shot 4-of-9 from the floor and a horrendous 1-for-8 at the foul line. As a career 71.1 percent free-throw shooter, he is at least somewhat reliable in that aspect of the game, so we'll chalk off this performance as an aberration, unless of course a trend becomes evident.

Evans also chipped in one three-pointer, one steal, and one block in 31 minutes of play for the Badgers. Despite knocking down a meager five treys in his first 32 games of the season, he has nearly matched that in his last three contests with four from downtown.
