Thomas (ankle) is expected to miss the rest of the 2011-2012 season, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Although Thomas only was averaging 9.7 points per game, the loss is a big one for Memphis since the talented freshman was shooting .488 from the floor (.412 on three-pointers). The injury may prevent Thomas from taking off for the pros after one year, at least.
