Oliver (concussion) announced Saturday following Penn State's win over Nebraska that he will end his basketball career due to lingering symptoms associated with concussions, SB Nation Pittsburgh's Adam Bittner reports.

Oliver, who lost all of the 2009-2010 season while suffering from chronic headaches, missed four games beginning Jan. 19 with concussion symptoms. He returned to action and played in the Nittany Lions' losses at Iowa on Feb. 4 and at Michigan State on Wednesday, but decided thereafter to stop playing out of concern for his health. Oliver ends his final college season averaging 6.8 points (on 36.7 percent shooting), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 three-pointers in 24.0 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Oliver scored a season-high 21 points, all on three-pointers (7-11 3Pt), in Penn State's rout of Purdue on Thursday.

Oliver also grabbed a pair of rebounds in 25 minutes for the Nittany Lions. He blew away his season average of 7.8 points while essentially playing his normal minutes (24.8 per game). Don't expect Thursday's performance to become the norm.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Oliver had 13 points, three blocks, and two steals in 20 minutes in Penn State's 72-43 victory over Mount Saint Mary's Sunday.

The sophomore forward was quite efficient, hitting four-of-five field goals, two-of-three from three-point land, and all three free-throws, which differs vastly from Oliver's season percentages (36.6 on field goals and 31.1 from three).
