Obekpa was suspended for two weeks for a violation of team rules, ESPN.com reports.

Obekpa will miss the NCAA tournament, including the Red Storm's Round of 64 game against San Diego State on Friday. He led the Big East in shot blocks with 3.1 per game and will be missed in the interior of the squad's defense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) had four points, nine rebounds and a block before fouling out of Thursday's matchup with Providence.

Obekpa missed Saturday's regular season finale against Villanova due to an ankle injury, but returned to the court for the Red Storm's first game of the Big East tournament. It was foul trouble, not the ankle, that limited the big man in the afternoon tilt, however. Obekpa now appears healthy for postseason play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) did not play Saturday against Villanova.

Obekpa was expected to play, but could not suit up. The Wildcats had plenty of success in the paint without the Big East's best shot blocker on the court. He could be ready to go against Providence in the Big East tournament on Thursday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) is expected to play Saturday against Villanova, the New York Daily News reports. The Red Storm center injured his ankle at the end of Wednesday's win over Marquette.

Obekpa missed two games in February with an injury to his right ankle, but the most recent injury was to his left ankle. The 6-10 junior is the anchor of the Red Storm offense. His minutes may be somewhat limited against the Wildcats.

Obekpa swatted four shots and collected five steals in Monday's win over Xavier. He scored four points and grabbed six boards.

Obekpa has been coming off the bench, but played a starter's complement of minutes. He has averaged 3.0 blocks over his last four games since returning from an ankle injury. Anything beyond the blocks is gravy.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) returned from a one-game absence, but did not score in 22 minutes off the Red Storm bench in the win over Xavier. He snagged five boards and blocked three shots.

Obekpa missed the majority of the last three games with a sore ankle, but he was able to play against Xavier to keep St. John's winning streak alive. He should get back in the starting lineup before too long.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against Xavier, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. He missed the Wednesday win over DePaul.

Despite his thin frame, Obekpa is an excellent shot blocker and a key to the Red Storm defense. The team will rely on Sir'Dominic Pointer even more and Felix Balamou will start. The Musketeers' Matt Stainbrook becomes a better play for Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa (ankle) will not play Wednesday against DePaul, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Obekpa hardly saw the court Saturday against Creighton, and his next chance to return to the court will be Saturday against Xavier. Fantasy owners will have to look elsewhere in the short term for the rebounds and blocks provided by the junior big man. In Obekpa's absence, look for the Red Storm to go with a guard-heavy lineup that features Felix Balamou more frequently.
