Obekpa provided eight points, eight rebounds, and three blocks before fouling out in the Friday win over St. Mary's.

Obekpa was giving up at least 20 pounds to Gael center Brad Waldow, but was able to make his presence known by blocking a few shots. He should continue to be among the best shot blockers in the nation.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa continued to play well with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocks in the Red Storm's win over Rhode Island on Wednesday.

Obekpa is a shot blocking monster with 4.1 blocks per game. When he rebounds and scores, he is one of the best center-eligible players in the nation. His offense, however, is spotty and should not be expected on a consistent basis. He is shooting 34.7 percent from the field and has scored in double figures three times in eight games.

Obekpa hauled in 16 boards and blocked four shots to go along with five points in the win over Syracuse on Saturday.

Obekpa has blocked at least two shots in every game this season and he has blocked four or more three times (including eight against Long Island Brooklyn). He adds 9.7 boards, but will not provide many points.

Obekpa will return to St. John's next season after originally intending to transfer, CBSSports.com reports.

The sophomore out of Nigeria was granted his release earlier this month, but it appears he's changed his mind and will now return to the Red Storm for the 2014-15 season. Obekpa is one of the top shot blockers in the country, averaging 2.9 per game in 2013-14 and 4.0 per game as a freshman.

Obekpa has been granted a release by St. John's ahead of a potential transfer, ESPN reports.

Obekpa led the nation by averaging four blocked shots as a freshman last season and followed that up with 2.9 swats per game this year, already making him St. John's all-time leader in the category. However, with him leaving the Red Storm program, St. John's will have yet another vacancy to fill across its front-line ahead of next season.

Obekpa injured his right ankle and will miss 10-14 days, ESPN.com reports. The Red Storm center is one of the nation's leading shot blockers at 3.2 swats per game.

Obekpa had been playing well with 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in his previous four games. Orlando Sanchez and God's Gift Achiuwa will get more playing time, but will not provide the same type of rim protection.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa swatted a season-high seven shots to go along with six points and six rebounds in the win over Bucknell on Tuesday.

Obekpa, the nation's leading returning shot blocked, had only rejected five shots in the first two games of the season in limited minutes. He was able to play 25 minutes against the Bison and put up his best line of the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Obekpa had four steals and four blocks to go along with six points and six rebounds in the loss to Villanova on Wednesday in the second round of the Big East tournament.

If Obekpa can add any offense to his game in the offseason, he could be a fantasy stud. The freshman set a Red Storm record with 127 blocks and added 6.0 boards.
