Harris will leave school after his sophomore season and enter the NBA Draft, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com reports.

The news confirms earlier speculation that Harris would leave, and does not come as a huge surprise. Projected as a mid-first round pick, Harris could potentially jump into the lottery after a great year, averaging 16.7 points per game last season.

Harris is expected to leave school and declare for the NBA Draft, Sports Illustrated's Seth Davis reports.

This is generally considered a wise move by Harris, as he was exceptional throughout the 2013-14 season as a sophomore at Michigan State. He is projected to get drafted in the middle of the first round of June's draft, and could creep into the lottery as a legitimate two-way player at the next level.

Harris had 22 points and a pair of rebounds and assists as Connecticut ended the Spartans' run through the NCAA tournament Sunday.

Michigan State was considered a favorite to win it all thanks to their depth, talent, and leadership. Harris was a huge part of the team and the Spartans' will have to wait and see which players decide to return and who will declare for the draft.

Harris finished with 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt), two boards, two assists, three steals and one block Sunday in the Big Ten Conference Tournament championship game win over Michigan.

He left the game briefly in the second half with a case of "dead arm" after running into a hard screen, but was able to return and should be fine for the NCAA Tournament.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harris ran into a hard screen in the second half of Sunday's Big Ten Conference Tournament championship game, and walked gingerly to the bench, and is questionable to return, Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press reports.

The CBS broadcast said Harris had "dead arm" and he attempted to check back in but coach Tom Izzo vetoed that move. It certainly doesn't seem like something serious enough to keep him out of NCAA Tournament action, and he would probably have returned to Sunday's game right away if Michigan State didn't have a comfortable lead when he left.

Harris had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists in the Spartans' regular season finale loss to Ohio State Sunday.

Harris wraps up an excellent senior season that saw him average 17.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harris scored 19 points and added five rebounds and four steals but was the Spartans' only offense Saturday as they fell to Illinois.

Harris had another solid game but the Spartans struggled on offense all game and wasn't as close as the score suggested. Harris and Michigan State will wrap up the regular season this week against Iowa and Ohio State.
