Upshaw has decided to transfer to Washington, ESPN.com reports. The 7-0 center averaged 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds with Fresno State, but was suspended twice.

Upshaw will have to sit out the 2013-14 season before appearing as a Husky. There was quite a bit of hype surrounding the former top-50 recruit, but he did not do much as a freshman. Maybe heading to Washington and playing for coach Lorenzo Romar will breath new life into his young career.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Upshaw is expected to make his season debut against Cal Poly on Monday, the Fresno Bee reports.

Upshaw had missed the last five weeks due to a knee injury. Coach Rodney Terry indicated that the heralded freshman will play 10 to 15 minutes during Monday's game and that they will ease him into the starting rotation. Upshaw will bring a physical presence to Nevada that has been lacking during their first three games of the season.
