RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Upshaw came off the bench to lead Washington in scoring with 21 points, rebounds with nine and blocks with six Sunday as the Huskies edged out Eastern Washington 81-77 at home.

Upshaw's 21 points Sunday were a career-high while his nine rebounds were the most recorded since March 2013, when Upshaw played for Fresno State. The junior has now finished in double figures in four of his eight starts this season. Still, Washington's center has to this point in the year proven more of a crucial presence off the boards and as a defender, averaging 6.1 rebounds and 4.87 blocks a contest.

Upshaw went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line to finish with 12 points Friday as Washington defeated Long Beach State 80-70 in the semifinal game of the Wooden Legacy Tournament in Fullerton, CA.

Upshaw has had a strong showing so far at the Wooden Legacy Tournament, combining for 24 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocks in Washington's wins over San Jose State and Long Beach State.

Upshaw came off the bench to finish with 12 points, five rebounds, a steal and a team-high seven blocks Thursday as Washington knocked off San Jose State in the opening round of the Wooden Legacy tournament in Fullerton, CA.

Upshaw, a 7-0, 250 pound center, has blocked seven shots in three of his first four starts of the season, each time tying the school record he first set back on Nov. 14. Head coach Lorenzo Romar tells the Associated Press the junior, who transferred from Fresno State, is "not a tall guy who's just tall," but "also athletic and can get up off the floor, which allows him to get to some of those shots that you don't think he can get to." Romar continues: "(Upshaw is) a great luxury to have, especially for our guards. That way they know that if there's a breakdown in the paint, Robert has their back."

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Upshaw has decided to transfer to Washington, ESPN.com reports. The 7-0 center averaged 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds with Fresno State, but was suspended twice.

Upshaw will have to sit out the 2013-14 season before appearing as a Husky. There was quite a bit of hype surrounding the former top-50 recruit, but he did not do much as a freshman. Maybe heading to Washington and playing for coach Lorenzo Romar will breath new life into his young career.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Upshaw is expected to make his season debut against Cal Poly on Monday, the Fresno Bee reports.

Upshaw had missed the last five weeks due to a knee injury. Coach Rodney Terry indicated that the heralded freshman will play 10 to 15 minutes during Monday's game and that they will ease him into the starting rotation. Upshaw will bring a physical presence to Nevada that has been lacking during their first three games of the season.
