Wallace (hand) has been ruled out for the entire NCAA Tournament.

Initial reports indicated that Wallace was only officially deemed out for Cal's first-round matchup with Hawaii, but the program confirmed that the senior's fractured non-shooting hand would sideline him for at least the next several weeks, ending his collegiate career. The onus will be on the Golden Bears' star freshman duo of Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb to pick up the scoring slack, while the team will likely turn to Sam Singer to take Wallace's spot in the starting lineup at point guard.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wallace (hand) will not play Friday against Hawaii, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Wallace is dealing with a fracture in his non-shooting hand, and while he's been ruled out for the Bears' Round of 64 game, coach Cuonzo Martin said the guard has not been ruled out for the entire tournament. Obviously, Cal will need to win for Wallace to have a chance to play in the Round of 32 against either Maryland or South Dakota State on Sunday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wallace suffered a fractured right hand during Wednesday's practice, and his status is uncertain for California's first-round matchup with Hawaii on Friday, ESPN.com reports.

Fortunately for Wallace, the fracture is on his non-shooting hand, but it's still far from certain that he'll be able to play through the ailment. The senior, who is the Golden Bears' leading scorer (15.3 points per game) and assist man (4.4), would represent a huge loss if he's ruled out Friday, as the team would have to lean more heavily on the star freshman duo of Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb.

Wallace (wrist) notched 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists Thursday against Oregon.

Wallace returned to the Cal lineup after missing the team's last five games. He was very productive in his 28 minutes off the bench (4-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and fit in nicely in his return.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Wallace (wrist) has been cleared to play Thursday against Oregon and is expected to be available off the bench, Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wallace had been sidelined for California's last five games after suffering a broken bone in his right hand, but after visiting with doctors Thursday, he has been cleared to return to the floor. Given how recently he was cleared to play, Wallace will likely be left out of the starting lineup and used as a reserve guard off the bench for his first game back from injury.
