Emelogu (knee) had six points, six rebounds and four assists over 20 minutes in Sunday's victory over Eastern Michigan.

Coming off a season-ending knee injury, Emelogu logged 31 minutes in Friday's opener, followed by this strong all-around performance. The Virginita Tech transfer started both games and attempted three or more treys in each contest. Any lingering effects of his serious knee injury appear to be in the past.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Emelogu (knee) will miss the entire 2015-16 season with a knee injury, Bill Nichols of The Dallas Morning News reports.

It is a tough break for Emelogu, who sat out the entire 2014-15 season after transferring from Virginia Tech. Look for fellow shooting guard Malik Milton to get more playing time in Emelogu's absence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Emelogu was cleared by the NCAA to play this season for SMU, Jeff Goodman of ESPN reports.

Emelogu transferred from Virginia Tech to SMU in the offseason, moving to a school closer to his Grand Prairie, TX home. As a freshman last season, he averaged 10.5 points while shooting 37 percent from deep. It's customary that transfers sit out for a season, but the changing coaches at Virginia Tech in the offseason may have played into him being eligible to play this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Emelogu will transfer to SMU, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Emelogu announced his intent to transfer last month, and the Grand Prairie, TX native has selected a school much closer to home. Virginia Tech's decision to hire Buzz Williams apparently did not factor into Emelogu's decision. As a freshman last season, Emelogu averaged 10.5 points per game while shooting 37 percent from deep. He'll sit out the 2014-15 season, per NCAA transfer rules, before regaining eligibility in 2015-16.
