Emelogu will transfer to SMU, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reports.

Emelogu announced his intent to transfer last month, and the Grand Prairie, TX native has selected a school much closer to home. He'll sit out the 2014-15 season, per NCAA transfer rules, before regaining eligibility in 2015-16.
