Matthews pumped in 18 points Tuesday against Iona, adding four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Matthews has now scored at least 16 points in nine straight contests, having at least four boards in all but one of those games. His price may exceed his value in daily leagues, but he's a rock solid option.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matthews had 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block Wednesday against Davidson.

An overall sound line from Matthews, who hit just 4-of-16 from the floor, including 1-of-9 from 3-point range. He's scored at least 16 points in four of his last five games despite shooting 50 percent or better just once, and will likely be a volume scorer again Saturday against La Salle.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matthews had 10 points, four assists and two rebounds Saturday against George Washington.

Matthews, who is averaging 16.2 points on the year, has not reached that total in any of the Rams last five games, one of which he sat out due to plantar fasciitis. He played 37 minutes, so the injury cannot be blamed for his downturn in scoring. Owners have little choice but to remain patient. Matthews does not represent a great selection in daily leagues for the time being.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Matthews (foot) had eight points (2-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 27 minutes in Wednesday's victory over Fordham.

Matthews was able to return from a one-game absence, but didn't quite see his typical workload, as he had played 33 minutes or more in each of his past five contests before the injury. The sophomore guard should continue to produce steady scoring (16.5 PPG), but a 0.5 assist/turnover ratio leaves plenty of room for improvement.

Matthews (foot) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt against Fordham, according to CBSSports.com.

Matthews sat out over the weekend due to plantar fasciitis. Daily league managers should likely stay away from Matthews as a precaution, and Rhody could opt to rest Matthews against one of the A10's weaker opponents.

Matthews missed Sunday's game against St. Bonaventure due to plantar fasciitis, the Providence Journal reports.

Matthews, the team's leading scorer averaging 17.0 points, was seen on crutches and in a walking boot and reportedly was in danger of missing the team's previous game before receiving late clearance. He had previously played Its really going to be a fluid situation for the rest of the year with him, coach Danny Hurley said. Its not something thats going to go away.

Matthews had a quiet outing Wednesday against Brown, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes.

Matthews simply wasn't needed as Rhody cruised to a 20 point win. He's taken a nice leap in his sophomore season, raising his scoring nearly three points to 17.2 night, while maintaining a 4.2 rebound, 2.3 assist rate, and will be more relied upon by the Rams with conference play on deck.

Matthews led the Rams with 17 points Wednesday against St. Joseph's, adding five assists, four rebounds and two steals.

Coming off of a career-high 32 points, Matthews again paced the offense. Xavier Munford had just nine points, and it's beginning to feel as though the passing of the torch from senior to freshman has already happened.
