Dekker had 17 points (15 in the first half) along with five rebounds and one steal against Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

Dekker has been slowed by a left ankle issue recently. He is now averaging 11.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season.

Dekker returned to practice Monday and expressed confidence that he's close to overcoming the ankle issue that's plagued him through the first few weeks of the season. "I'm so happy to be back and I'm getting better. This won't be something I'm dealing with all season," Dekker said.

While the star swingman hasn't missed any time with the injury, it's likely affected his mobility and aggression. After a strong showing at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, he attempted only five field goals against both Duke (Wednesday) and Marquette (Saturday) this past week. Look for Dekker to be more assertive offensively once the ankle is completely healhty.

Dekker (ankle) will start Saturday against Marquette.

Dekker's left ankle, which he originally hurt back in October, has presented some issues recently, but he was able to play 24 minutes against Duke on Wednesday and figures to be available for a similar workload against Marquette. He made it through pregame shootaround without issue.

Dekker (ankle) is suited up and taking part in pregame shooting Saturday, the Wisconsin State Journal's Jim Polzin reports.

It has not been officially announced that he will play against Marquette on Saturday, but it certainly seems like he will give it a go. Duje Dukan would be his replacement in the starting lineup if Dekker is a last-minute scratch.
