Newkirk had started every previous game for coach Archie Miller, but has recently been horrific from a shooting standpoint. Over his last six games (including Monday), Newkirk is shooting just 13 percent from the field, and is a staggering 1-for-11 from three-point range. He's produced more turnovers than assists over that span, and it now appears Miller has had enough. Devonte Green was awarded the start in his stead, and produced nine points on 4-of-7 shooting to go along with four assists. Granted, the effort came against the 12-14 Scarlet Knights, who are in last place in the conference, but this starting lineup alignment could certainly stay in tact if the performance patterns continue.
