Allen dropped 25 points (9-15 FG, 7-12 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists across 30 minutes during Thursday’s home win over the Tar Heels.

Allen has seen his name in the negative spotlight far too often this season. When he’s able to control his emotions, and play within himself, opposing teams quickly realize why he is considered one of of the best scorers in the nation. Averaging over 20 points in his last three outings, Allen has been extremely effective ever since coach Mike Krzyzewski increased minutes for his starters. Up next for the Blue Devils is a very winnable home contest versus Clemson.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen produced a game-high 21 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and added five rebounds, three assists, and a steal in a road victory over Notre Dame on Monday.

This is Allen's fifth 20 point game of the season. It's also his sixth game knocking down at least three shots from behind the arc. In conference play the junior is putting up 14.9 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 31.1 minutes per contest, but is just shooting 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from three-point range. Duke will host Pittsburgh on Saturday where Allen will look to lead his team to their third straight win.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen had 13 points (4-13 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two assists and one rebound in Monday's loss to NC State.

Allen is now 1-for-12 from beyond the arc over his last two contests, making it clear that his shooting is being affected by his dislocated pinkie. The recent ailment doesn't explain his season-long marks, however, as he's converting just 31.6 percent of his treys in 2016-17, compared to a mark of 41.7 percent last year.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen is going through warmups prior to Monday's game against NC State despite dislocating his pinkie during Saturday's game against Miami, Stephen Wiseman of the Durham Herald-Sun reports.

Allen's left pinkie and ring fingers are taped together, but he's going through warmups, apparently with the intention to play. His field-goal percentage is down to 39.8 on the season even without a dislocated finger, so he might not be in line for a great performance by his standards. Frank Jackson will likely see an uptick in usage if Allen struggles during the game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen dislocated his pinkie on his left hand just before halftime in the win over Miami on Saturday. He returned with a taped finger, but was limited to seven points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Interim coach Jeff Capel opened the second half with Allen and Luke Kennard on the bench, and Matt Jones led the Blue Devils on a run. Allen was limited to single-digit scoring for the second time in three games. After Saturday's performance, his field-goal percentage fell to 39.8 percent.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out three assists in Duke's 69-78 loss to Louisville on Saturday.

Allen left in the final minutes of Tuesday's game against Florida State, but it appears the ailment was never serious as he returned to ultimately play 36 minutes. It was a good game for the junior forward as he scored 20-plus points for the first time since Dec. 10 and it was the first time he's been to the free-throw line 10-plus times since Dec. 19. Allen and the Blue Devils play next Jan. 21 at home against Miami (FL).

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen left Tuesday's game with six minutes remaining with a head injury. He had nine points and five assists in the loss to Florida State before leaving.

Just before incurring the injury, Allen courted more controversy by falling into the Florida State bench and appearing to shove Dennis Gates, a Seminoles assistant coach. Allen was playing in his first road game since being suspended for a game. He should be considered a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Louisville.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Allen scored 12 points and dealt a season-high 11 assists in the win over Boston College on Saturday. He also had another possible tripping incident, however.

Allen appeared to lose his balance while fighting through a screen and brought his leg up in contact with an Eagle. It was unclear if Allen had any malicious intent. No foul was called on the play. The junior has been distributing nicely since returning from his suspension with 18 assists in two games.
