Though Lawson doesn't project as a first-round pick in the eyes of most outlets, Kansas was always prepared for him to move onto the professional ranks. Unfortunately for the Jayhawks, Lawson's departure won't be softened by the arrival of five-star recruit R.J. Hampton, who spurned Kansas -- among other programs -- to join the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League. Kansas will at least have Silvio De Sousa eligible again to join Udoka Azubuike in the frontcourt, though both big men will likely struggle to match the double-double production (19.4 points, 10.3 rebounds per game) that Lawson posted during his lone season in Lawrence.
