Adel is entering the NBA Draft but will not hire an agent, Jeff Greer of the Courier-Journal reports.

Adel (6-7, 201) will test out the draft process this spring and has until May 24 to make his final decision. He moved into a prominent role as a sophomore this season, averaging 12.1 points and 4.5 rebounds over 33 games -- including 30 starts. Adel also ended the season on a strong note with 16.3 points on 53.8 percent shooting over his final six games. If he returns to Louisville for his junior season, the Cardinals will be a force to be reckoned with in the ACC.

March 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel provided six points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), six rebounds, and four assists in Saturday's game against Notre Dame.

Although it wasn't Adel's best night shooting, he did grab an efficient amount of rebounds and dished out a good number of assists for the Cardinals. On the year he's averaging 11.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, and sees the court for an average of 29.6 minutes. Although he's not a very high-scoring player, he's shown a high-level of improvement since his freshman year, and could be someone to look out for in the future.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel produced 17 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, and two assists in 23 minutes off the bench during Sunday's win over Syracuse.

Adel didn't start, but was still able to produce well off the bench. Ray Spalding and V.J. King started over Adel and Mangok Mathiang in an attempt by coach Rick Pitino to change up his lineup. Adel responded well to the benching. It's unclear where he'll play in the rest of the games, but for owners it's a good sign to see him producing whether as a starter or coming off the bench.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel had eight points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block Wednesday at North Carolina.

Adel's skill set was on full display, showing his ball-handling skills often, while his defense led to a coast-to-coast breathtaking dunk, but he hit only 4-of-13 from the floor for the second straight outing. Adel continues to possess one of the highest ceilings in the conference, but he's yet to show he's capable of utilizing it to the fullest.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel (suspension) had 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists in Saturday's win over Miami.

Adel and Mangok Mathiang returned from suspension Saturday and both made their presence felt off the bench. He played 36 minutes and tied Donovan Mitchell for the team-high in points with 18. Given that he had started in each of his last six games prior to the suspension, it's possible that he'll rejoin the starting five for Monday's game at Syracuse.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Coach Rick Pitino confirmed Adel will return from suspension for Saturday's game against Miami, Jeff Greer of the Courier-Journal reports.

Both Adel and Mangok Mathiang sat out Monday's game against Virginia after violating team curfew rules. With Adel's return, Ray Spalding and V.J. King will see their roles shrink back to normal.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel has been suspended for Monday's game against Virginia after violating team curfew rules Saturday night, ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman reports.

In addition to Adel, teammate Mangok Mathiang will also serve a one-game suspension Monday, leaving the Cardinals shorthanded down low in their matchup with one of the top teams in the ACC. Adel, who is averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 28.4 minutes per game on the season, will likely have his playing time filled by some combination of Ray Spalding and V.J. King.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Adel had 18 points, six rebounds and two assists Thursday against Clemson.

Despite the lopsided affair, Adel played 34 minutes and clearly has his legs back after missing some practice time due to concussion symptoms. He's been as inconsistent as ever, posting three double-digit scoring efforts interchanged with six point efforts in his last five games, but the Cardinals will likely need his versatility in a showdown with Florida State next time out.
