Double-double in loss to Virginia
Tava had his first double-double of the season in the loss to Virginia on Wednesday as he went for 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
ANALYSIS
This is just his fifth double figure scoring performance and third double digit rebounding outing. Tava has upped his minutes during conference play from 24.8 minutes in non-conference to 32.5 minutes per contest in ACC play. He's averaging 3.3 turnovers in conference play which is a little high for the big man. Tava has been able to shoot 55 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free-throw stripe, both are respectable at his position. Boston College will host North Carolina on Saturday.
