RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball 15 times for 104 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for 32 yards in Saturday's 30-27 win over the Argos.

He's topped 100 rushing yards in each of his first two games with Edmonton after heading west in a trade from the Ti-Cats, and Gable's performances have helped keep the team in a playoff spot. He should see plenty of touches once again next Saturday on the road against the Lions.

October 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball 22 times for 111 yards and a touchdown while adding one catch for a nine-yard score in Monday's 42-24 win over the Alouettes.

It was an explosive Edmonton debut for Gable, but it was very nearly a disaster after he fumbled his first carry of the day and watched Montreal return it for a TD. The former Ti-Cat should remain the lead back for Edmonton over the final four games of the season as they try to secure a playoff spot, affording him plenty of touches and opportunities for production.

October 9, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable will start at running back in Monday's game against the Alouettes.

Gable will immediately become the Eskimos' top running back after being acquired from the Tiger-Cats a week ago. He had his best game of the year his last time out, rushing for 157 yards and two scores in his final game for Hamilton.

October 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable was traded to the Eskimos on Monday. The Tiger-Cats will receive two players from Edmonton's negotiation list in return.

Gable has spent the last five seasons in Hamilton, scoring 25 total touchdowns over 51 games. In Edmonton, he'll compete for snaps with Travon Van, LaDarius Perkins (undisclosed) and Pascal Lochard, although Gable is expected to start.

September 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable rushed 18 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns and netted zero yards on his sole reception in Saturday's 43-35 overtime loss to the Argonauts.

A week after seeing Alex Green explode for 140 yards, Gable reclaimed his starting role with a vengeance. His rushing yardage total was a career high, while his 18 carries were the most he'd seen in a game this season. It also marked Gable's second multi-touchdown effort in the last three games in which he's played, so he's certainly proven capable of rewarding fantasy owners when given sufficient opportunity. He'll look to keep up his strong efforts versus the Blue Bombers in Week 16.

September 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable is listed as the starting running back for Saturday's game against the Argonauts.

This comes as a bit of a surprise, as last week's starter Alex Green managed to impress in his CFL debut, rushing 13 times for 140 yards. Gable did not see a single carry in that outing and most recently rushed just seven times for 26 yards in Week 13. He may see a spike in touches Saturday, however, as a result of getting the start.

September 21, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable is listed as the third-string running back for Friday's game against the Lions,

Gable is coming off a performance in last week's loss to the Riders where he got just seven carries for 26 yards, which was his lowest output since Week 8. Newly re-signed running back Alex Green is listed as the starter for Friday's contest, so Gable could be in for a very minor role against the Lions.

September 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable rushed seven times for 26 yards and added five receptions for 39 yards in Friday's 27-19 loss to the Riders.

The veteran running back saw his carries drop back into the single digits after logging a season-high 11 in Week 12. The reduced touches led to his lowest rushing yardage output since Week 8, while also snapping Gable's modest two-game touchdown streak. On the plus side, the 29-year-old did notch a season-best five receptions, helping make up for some of the reduced ground production. He'll look to play a pivotal role in next week's tilt versus the Lions.

September 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball 11 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns while adding three catches for 28 yards in Saturday's 26-22 win over the Redblacks.

The 29-year-old now has three rushing TDs on the season, all of which have come in the last two games -- perhaps not coincidentally, Hamilton's only two wins on the year. Expect Gable to remain the focus of the team's offense when they host the Roughriders in Week 13.

September 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable will start at running back and serve as the Tiger-Cats' kick returner in Saturday's game against the Redblacks.

It's not a surprise that Gable is starting at running back Saturday, but it is notable that he is the only active player at his position this week, and that he will add another duty to his ledger with Brandon Banks playing a bigger role in the passing game.

September 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball six times for 43 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-22 win over the Argos.

He also added two catches for 12 yards and 47 return yards. Gable's one-yard TD plunge inside the final three minutes of the game was not only his first touchdown of the season, it proved to be the winning score. The 29-year-old now has 200 rushing yards and 95 receiving yards over the last five games since regaining the starting role in Hamilton's backfield.

August 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable rushed seven times for 48 yards and hauled in one reception for six yards in Friday's 37-18 loss to the Redblacks.

Gable looked solid enough during his limited touches, averaging 6.9 yards per carry in a contest for the second time this season. The veteran running back has logged just seven rushes apiece in the last two games, and the Ti-Cats' penchant for falling behind by sizable margins often serves to take the running game out of the equation in the second half. Gable still carries some upside for DFS tournaments based on his typically cost-effective price, even if he rarely sees double-digit touches. He'll look for more opportunity in the Week 11 Labour Day Classic against the Argos.

August 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable managed just 12 yards on seven rushes but did add three receptions for 38 yards in Saturday's 39-12 loss to the Bombers.

Gable couldn't get anything going on the ground against a stingy Bombers front, but he ripped off a 28-yard reception to salvage his fantasy day somewhat. The 29-year-old has had a difficult time finding any kind of a rhythm on the ground thus far this season, as a combination of unfavorable game script and an almost complete lack of running room have conspired to significantly limit his totals in three of the four games he's seen action in. Gable remains an above-average receiving option for QB Zach Collaros, however, so he retains a modicum of fantasy value. He'll look to try to help the Ti-Cats claim their first victory when they face the Redblacks in Week 9.

August 4, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable gained 28 yards on three rushes and added four receptions for 21 yards in Friday's 33-28 loss to the Eskimos.

Gable barely tallied any touches on the ground with the Ti-Cats trying to play catch-up, but he did look impressive in his scant opportunities. Factoring in the 10-carry, 69-yard performance the veteran posted in Week 6's blowout loss, Gable has averaged 7.5 yards per tote over the last two games. If the Ti-Cats can stay close enough to keep the ground attack viable for all four quarters moving forward, Gable's production could see a nice boost. He'll look to make more an impact in the running game against the Blue Bombers in Week 8.

July 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable gained 69 yards on 10 rushes in Saturday's 60-1 loss to the Stamps. He added 18 yards on two receptions.

The veteran's performance was about the only reason for optimism in what was an utterly forgettable night for the Ti-Cats. Gable hadn't logged any carries since the opener, when he'd managed just nine yards on five rushes. Ross Scheuerman had taken over lead back duties since that point and impressed, so Gable's return to the lineup Saturday was somewhat of a surprise. It remains to be seen how head coach Kent Austin will divvy up the backfield work going forward, and with Hamilton's season rapidly slipping away, all options are presumably on the table.

July 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable will return to the starting lineup in Saturday's game against the Stampeders, 3DownNation reports.

Gable has not taken the field since being replaced in the starting lineup by Ross Scheuerman in Week 3, but head coach Kent Austin has decided to go back to his Week 1 starter for Saturday's contest. Gable should get his fair share of opportunities this week, but he totaled just 33 yards last time he took the field, and just 31 yards last time the Tiger-Cats faced the Stampeders in Week 10 of 2016.

July 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable has been scratched for Thursday's game against the Eskimos, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Gable will be inactive for a second week in a row following his loss of the starting job to Ross Scheuerman in Week 3. While it appears that he's lost the number two spot to Mercer Timmis as well, the possibility remains open that Gable can play his way back into a more prominent role.

July 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Lions, Drew Edwards of The Hamilton Spectator reports.

While it was clear Gable slipped below Ross Scheuerman on the depth chart, it now seems as if he's tumbled down to No. 3 behind Mercer Timmis as well. However, Scheuerman accrued just 19 total yards on five touches in Week 3 and doesn't necessarily have a stranglehold on the starting job, so it's possible Gable could work himself back into the mix if Scheuerman fails to impress Saturday night.

July 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable is listed as the backup running back on the Tiger-Cats' depth chart for Week 4.

Gable ceded the starting running back job to Ross Scheuerman last week, and he will do the same this week. Scheuerman was not overly impressive in Week 3, so Hamilton's running back situation could remain in flux beyond this week's contest.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable will be replaced by Ross Scheuerman as the Tiger-Cats' starting running back in Saturday's game against the Roughriders, 3 Down Nation reports.

Gable totaled just 33 yards on nine touches in Week 1, which prompted head coach Kent Austin to give Scheuerman a chance to work as the top back in Hamilton's second game of the season in Week 3. It's not clear if this is a permanent move, but Gable is unlikely to do much, if anything, this week, and Scheuerman could grab a hold of the top spot with a quality performance.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried just five times for nine yards and added 24 yards on four receptions in Sunday's 32-15 loss to the Argonauts.

The Ti-Cats fell behind early, and save for a brief spell late in the second half, they trailed by a solid margin the majority of the contest. That game script spelled limited action for Gable, who managed to salvage his afternoon to an extent with some modest production through the air. The lopsided nature of the loss may have largely negated Gable's role Sunday, but he carries some fantasy potential considering he compiled a career-best 693 rushing yards in 2016 and averaged 5.5 and 6.2 yards per tote, respectively, over the last two campaigns. He'll look to see more work when the Ti-Cats face the Roughriders in Week 3 following a bye.

June 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable will open the season as the Tiger-Cats' starting running back, The Hamilton Spectator reports.

Gable was limited to just three carries in the preseason, but his lack of work will have no standing on his role as Hamilton's top backfield option. Ross Scheuerman will head into Week 1 a notch below Gable on the depth chart.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable "has the starting (running back) job all but locked up" for the Tiger-Cats, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Gable was held out of the Tiger-Cats' preseason opener, but that was mainly for precautionary reasons. Gable averaged a healthy 5.5 yards per carry last season in his most active campaign since 2013.

November 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball nine times for 21 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 53 yards in Sunday's 24-21 loss to Edmonton in the Eastern Semifinal.

He enjoyed a strong season in 2016, topping 1000 yards from scrimmage for the second time while scoring four TDs. The Ti-Cats' offense still goes through Zach Collaros, limiting Gable's fantasy ceiling somewhat out of the backfield, but his pass-catching skills should allow him to remain productive if he returns as Hamilton's lead RB next year.

November 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable could be held out of Saturday's regular season finale, 3DownNation reports.

The Tiger-Cats appear likely to rest some starters Saturday in advance of the season finale, and it appears Gable -- who did not take first-team snaps at Tuesday's practice -- could be part of that group. If Gable is indeed held out, Anthony Woodson (undisclosed) is in line to get the start in his place.

October 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable gained 55 yards and scored a touchdown on six carries and totaled 88 yards on nine receptions in Friday's 29-26 loss to the Eskimos.

Gable was an overwhelmingly large part of the Ti-Cats' offense Friday, setting season highs in receptions and yards in the process. He also got into the end zone on the ground for the second time in three games, after only crossing the goal line once all season prior to the current stretch. Gable's rushing touches were clearly down Friday, but with his heavy involvement in the passing game, he continues to sport one of the higher floors for fantasy production at the RB position each week.

October 22, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable totaled 61 yards on 14 carries and hauled in one pass for five yards and a touchdown in Friday's 39-36 overtime victory over the Redblacks.

Gable made his only catch on the night count, making a couple of defenders miss on his way to the end zone on his second-half, game-tying five-yard touchdown reception. The 29-year-old now has at least 61 yards in three of his last four weeks after only hitting that mark once previously this season, while the receiving touchdown was his first of the season.

October 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) generated 66 yards on 11 carries and added 13 yards on two receptions in Friday's 30-29 loss to the Redblacks.

The versatile back continued to offer solid production on the ground, scoring his first touchdown since Week 4 against the Als in the process. Gable also encouragingly received double-digit carries for the second time in the last three weeks, a trend that could endure in a Week 18 rematch against the Redblacks, particularly if Zach Collaros (concussion) is forced to miss another game.

October 13, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) will start at running back in Friday's game against the Redblacks.

Gable has not seen any action since Week 12, but he returned to practice earlier this week, and is set to resume his role as the Tiger-Cats' top running back.

October 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) took part in Monday's practice, 3DownNation reports.

Gable's knee injury kept him sidelined for the Tiger-Cats' last three games, but it appears he is ready to return to action coming out of the Tiger-Cats' Week 16 bye. Expect him to start the team's next game Friday barring any setbacks over the next couple days.

September 30, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) is not listed on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Stampeders.

Gable will miss his third straight game while he continues his recovery from the knee injury he suffered in Week 12. Michael Ford will start at running back Saturday for the second week in a row.

September 27, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, 3DownNation reports.

Gable missed the Tiger-Cats' last two games due to his knee injury, and his absence Tuesday means he is in danger of missing further action. Michael Ford would be the favorite to start if Gable sits out for a third week in a row, but Ford tallied just three carries for 11 yards as the primary back in Week 14.

September 23, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of Week 13. Hamilton was able to get by with Ross Scheuerman to fill Gable's role, so more of that would be expected this week.

September 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Head coach Kent Austin said Wednesday that he is uncertain whether or not Gable (knee) will be able to play in Saturday's game against the Roughriders, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

The knee injury that prevented Gable for playing last week remains an issue, and leaves him questionable for Week 14. Fellow running back Ross Scheuerman effectively filled Gable's spot last week, but he will be unavailable Saturday due to an injury of his own, so the Tiger-Cats will be forced to turn to their third starting running back in three weeks if Gable is unable to go.

September 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Gable sat out last week's game due to his knee injury, and it appears he is still recovering from his setback. Ross Scheuerman filled in last week in Gable's absence, but he is also banged up, so it remains to be seen who will line up as the Tiger-Cats' starting running back in Week 14.

September 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable (knee) will not play in Friday's game against the Alouettes, Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator reports.

Gable will sit out this week due to the knee injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Argonauts. The good news is he was placed on the one-game injured list and not the longer six-game option, so he should have a chance to get back on the field in Week 14. Ross Scheuerman will get the start at running back this week in Gable's absence.

September 11, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable suffered a left knee injury during Sunday's game and is doubtful to return, Matthew Scianitti of TSN reports.

Gable is back on the sidelines, but it seems he's having trouble putting weight on his injured leg. It is unclear how severe Gable's injury is, and there will likely be more updates on his status once his injury is assessed.

September 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball 12 times for 135 yards while adding three catches for 28 yards in Monday's win over the Argos.

The performance came basically out of nowhere, as Gable's previous high on the season was 61 rushing yards back in Week 4, but it did exactly match his previous career high set last year. The Ti-Cats' offense is geared mainly to attack through the air, but Gable is capable of taking advantage when he gets the opportunity, as he did Monday.

August 29, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable ran for just 25 yards on four carries while adding two catches for six yards in Sunday's loss to the Stampeders.

Zach Collaros was having another huge game at quarterback for Hamilton, but that left few touches available for Gable. In the three games since Collaros returned from his knee injury Gable has just 71 total rushing yards, although he has chipped in 11 catches for 109 yards as well. In games where he's not involved in the passing game though, his production is likely to remain limited.

August 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried eight times for 31 yards and added 35 yards on four receptions in Saturday's 53-7 blowout of the Roughriders.

The passing game was the primary focus on the evening for the Ti-Cats, but Gable still found a way to stay modestly involved. The veteran tailback also exceeded his 2015 rushing total with Saturday's production and now has his sights set on the career-best 782 yards he tallied in his rookie campaign back in 2013. With only two games with double-digit carries this season, Gable provides some decent but relatively capped fantasy value, especially with the passing attack making a quantum leap forward with Zach Collaros back in the lineup.

August 14, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable gained only 15 yards on six carries but added 68 yards on five receptions in Saturday's 45-38 loss to the Lions.

The 28-year-old back found himself with limited opportunity and running room in the ground game once again, but made up for it with a strong performance through the air. Gable was one of returning signal caller Zach Collaros' favorite targets on the night, and his 12 total touches, while still a bit low, were a notable improvement over the season-low seven he tallied in Week 7. He'll look to bounce back when the Ti-Cats face off with the Roughriders in Week 9.

August 4, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable rushed for 31 yards on five carries and added 39 yards on two receptions in Wednesday's 37-11 loss to the Blue Bombers.

With Hamilton falling behind early, Gable's opportunities on the ground were nearly non-existent. He managed to provide some spark in the passing game on his two receptions, but his seven total touches were a season low. The veteran should be back to a more customary level of involvement in Hamilton's Week 8 tilt versus the Lions.

July 24, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable gained 35 yards on eight carries and added seven yards on his sole reception in Saturday's 37-31 victory over the Eskimos.

With the Ti-Cats in full catch-up mode in the second half, Gable's opportunities were considerably limited. He did look solid over his eight carries, but the 35 yards was his second-lowest figure in that category over the first five games. The 28-year-old has been able to generate 222 yards on 4.7 yards per tote to date in 2016, and is likely to see a more active role in games where Hamilton is not forced to rely heavily on the passing game due to a large deficit.

July 16, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable carried the ball 17 times for 61 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 37 yards in Friday's 31-7 win over the Alouettes.

He was the only Tiger-Cat to score an offensive touchdown, as the team got most of their points from special teams. It was also Gable's first score of the season and he now has a modest 187 rushing yards and seven catches for 52 receiving yards through four games.

July 8, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable totaled 30 yards on seven carries and added 12 yards on his sole reception in Thursday's 28-24 loss to the Blue Bombers.

The veteran back had a rough start to his night, losing seven yards on his first two carries. He rebounded nicely with a 26-yard run on the first play from scrimmage in the second half, but was otherwise stymied on his other four carries. With Hamilton in the trail position throughout the third and fourth quarters, Gable was largely underused as Jeremiah Masoli put the ball up 39 times. He'll look to be more involved in next week's tilt against the Als.

July 2, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable ran the ball seven times for 48 yards in Friday's loss to the Lions. He also caught two passes for three yards.

Hamilton's offense couldn't get anything going Friday, and by the second half the running game was mostly abandoned as they tried to dig out of a deep hole. Gable's 6.9 YPC is still encouraging though, and he could be in line for a breakout next week as the Ti-Cats host a Blue Bombers squad that just got gashed for 207 rushing yards by the Stampeders in Week 2.

June 24, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gable ran the ball 11 times for a team-high 48 yards in Thursday's 42-20 win over the Argos.

His numbers have declined dramatically since his big 2013 season due to injuries, but the Tiger-Cats seem intent on giving Gable at least one more chance to be their lead back. With the team's passing game picking up right where it left off last year, however, Gable's touches and production could be limited even if he does stay healthy.
