Held without touchdown in regular season finale
Shoulder
November 29, 2016
Hills (shoulder) went 9-of-15 for 96 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Saturday's win over Rutgers.
ANALYSIS
The senior entered Saturday as a game-time call due to a lingering shoulder injury, but he was ultimately able to give it a go against the Scarlet Knights in his final regular season. He was reasonably efficient, completing 60 percent of his passes to bring his regular season total to 66.0 percent. That said, Hills was unable to throw a touchdown on a day where Maryland scored 31 points on Rutgers. He'll play the final game of his collegiate career in Maryland's upcoming bowl.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2013
Maryland signal callers had a forgettable 2015 campaign as the combination of Hills and Caleb Rowe combined for a whopping 28 interceptions while throwing just 14 touchdowns. Hills was responsible for eight of those touchdowns and 13 of those picks. Ideally, Maryland would have another quarterback waiting in the wings to take over the starting job, but it appears it’ll be a battle primarily between Hills and Rowe. With that, we give Hills the slight edge thanks to his surprising ability to pick up chunk yardage on the ground. In a three week stretch in October last season, Hills racked up 174, 124, and 104 yards in three consecutive games, scoring three touchdowns in that stretch. Even if Hills winds up winning the starting gig, which is likely, his fantasy upside is limited due to an unproven supporting cast of small receivers and a penchant for throwing interceptions. Furthermore, he may be on a relatively short leash due to the fact that Rowe is still on the team and redshirt freshman Gage Shaffer could earn a look with a new coaching staff on campus. Hills’ running upside, especially in a new power spread option, could give him value, but it’ll primarily be on a matchup-by-matchup basis.
Hills should be healthy come August, and will compete C.J. Brown for the starting role. He showed his capabilities last season before tearing his ACL, and if 2012 proved anything, it’s that Hills is just one play away from value.
