Gulley failed to top 10 carries in each of the final three games of his career, and did not score after Week 1. His 610 yards led the team, but it was unlikely the senior season Gulley had hoped for when choosing to return for a fifth year.

Gulley came in to 2012 with a reasonable amount of hype, but ended up splitting carries with Jerome Smith. Even still, Gulley managed 833 yards and nine touchdowns on 158 carries. He added two more scores and 282 yards receiving on 33 catches, showing his versatility. Touchdowns are a tricky thing to predict, and Gulley could struggle to reach the 11 he scored a season ago, but his yardage shouldn’t suffer any. He’ll remain one of many solid yet unspectacular options nationally.

Antwon Bailey is gone after running for 1,051 yards and six scores last year, and Syracuse doesn't have a sure replacement. Gulley is one of two likely candidates, though, the other being Jerome Smith. Smith failed to average four yards per carry last year, though, so Gulley seems to have more upside and is the player to target in Big East-only leagues.
