Malachi Dupre

Dupre is the top wideout in one of the most physically talented receiving tandems in all of college football alongside Travin Dural. The 20-year-old Dupre has been a big play threat since he stepped onto campus as the second-rated receiver in his recruiting class, but he didn’t truly make his presence felt until last season when he led the Tigers in nearly every major receiving category with 43 grabs on 77 targets for 698 yards (16.2 YPR, 9.1 YPT) and six scores. What’s more, he was able to accomplish that kind of production in a run-first offense that also had an injured quarterback down the stretch. Now that quarterback Brandon Harris enters the 2016 season with a clean bill of health and a full year of starting experience under his belt, LSU’s passing attack should take a step forward this fall. Even if Dupre’s targets don’t see a massive increase this season, his progression as a receiver coupled with Brandon Harris’ maturation ought to result in a better catch rate and an uptick in touchdowns.
