ANALYSIS
Freshman Chad Voytik is filling in at quarterback, while Savage will likely be resigned to the sideline for the final two quarters of his college career. Savage had a solid game prior to his exit, completing 8-of-13 passes for 124 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2010
Savage, a former four-star recruit, is at his third school heading in to his redshirt senior season. He’s seemingly been anointed as the replacement for Tino Sunseri, and the 6-foot-5, 230 pounder is a classic drop back passer. He’s failed to live up to his recruiting ranking however, and hasn’t seen a live snap since 2011. Should he stumble at all, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Pitt turn to redshirt freshman Chad Voytik, and as a result, Savage isn’t likely to be worth a selection.
Savage stepped in as a freshman in 2009 and did quite a good job, even though he only completed 52.3 percent of his passes. That figure is acceptable because he threw twice as many touchdowns as interceptions (14-to-7) and averaged 7.8 yards per attempt. He lost top receiver Tim Brown this off-season, unfortunately, but his offense returns what should be a pretty good rushing attack along with a good group of pass-catchers, headlined by 2009 freshman sensation Mohamed Sanu. Savage isn't in an offense that typically airs it out a whole lot, but he looks like a good player in what should be an efficient offensive attack. His value is limited mostly to Big East-only leagues.
