Dobson finishes the season with 57 catches and only three touchdowns, two figures that likely disappointed most fantasy owners in 2012. He's a senior and Marshall is not headed to a bowl game, so this was his last game in college.

Dobson is likely Marshall’s top fantasy wideout this year and a player who is relevant in most or all formats. He caught 49 passes for 668 yards and 12 touchdowns last year and, while that touchdown total will be difficult to match, Dobson should improve on his reception and yardage numbers as quarterback Rakeem Cato progresses. Dobson should be owned if you’re not in a shallow league.
Dobson may have established himself as Marshall's top receiver last year, but Antavious Wilson isn't going anywhere, and Marshall faces a lot of questions at quarterback this year. Dobson is primarily only worth drafting in C-USA-only leagues until Marshall presents an effective quarterback.
Antavious Wilson wasn't the only excellent freshman wideout for Marshall in 2009. Dobson caught just 15 passes, but he took those catches for a ridiculous 362 yards and four touchdowns. That's 24.13 yards per catch. The team has no choice but to get him more involved this year, so he's a good upside pick if you need wideout depth in CUSA-only leagues.
