ANALYSIS
Charles is a superb athlete but, listed at 6-foot-3, 241 pounds, he looks more like a receiver than a tight end by NFL standards. He has a lot of potential as a pass catcher, however. Thanks to the success Aaron Hernandez is having, some teams might find Charles intriguing even if he can't be a traditional, Jason Witten sort of tight end. As long as he tests as well as he should in predraft workouts, Charles is a good bet to go in the second or third round.

Charles has always been an exceedingly talented tight end, but the presence of A.J. Green has limited his ability to post big numbers. With Green out of town, Charles could really go off in 2011. He’s not as proven of an option as Michael Egnew, but Charles’ upside might exceed that of all tight ends outside of Ladarius Green and maybe Vance McDonald.
