Richardson, a walk-on quarterback for Texas Tech, has elected to leave the program in hopes of finding another school at which he has a better chance for playing time, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
Asked who he thought was the "most pleasant surprise" of spring football on Tuesday, head coach Mark Dantonio replied, "I really think [wide receiver] DeAnthony Arnett," the Detroit Free Press reports.
