Barker was charged Jan. 14 in Houston on suspicion of marijuana possession, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. He was arrested on the University of Houston campus, where he intends to attend classes. However, he hasn't been offered a scholarship and isn't a member of the team, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

He had 577 yards receiving and seven touchdowns in eight games for the Gophers, but left the program amid tension with head coach Jerry Kill. It looks like he may not play in Houston with his legal problems, leaving his status for the 2013 season in doubt.
