Good move by Russell. He wasn't getting a fair shake at Kentucky, anyway. It will be interesting to see where he ends up, as he was productive at Kentucky when he got the ball and he reportedly had offers from schools like Florida, Georgia and Wisconsin coming out of high school. We'd be a bit surprised if there's no one in the FBS willing to hand him a scholarship.

Russell was superb in the few chance he got last year, taking his 13 carries for 137 yards and a touchdown. He's not going to beat out Derrick Locke for the feature role this year and might not even jump ahead of Moncell Allen, but he's someone to keep in mind if Locke gets hurt this year.
