2011 Fantasy Outlook
Fellow true freshman Andrew Buie is also a threat to get carries for West Virginia, but Roberts heads into the fall as the favorite. The fantasy upside of both players is limited since the Mountaineers have two short-yardage/goal line specialists in Ryan Clarke and Shawne Alston, but the high-flying Houston-style offense of coach Dana Holgorsen is built on speed, so smaller guys like Roberts and Buie figure to get the most work in what should be one of the nation's most dangerous offenses. It's tough to anticipate how the touches will be distributed, but there's definitely upside to be had in the Mountaineer backfield.
