2023 Fantasy Outlook
There was no outlook written for Dominique Brown in 2023. Check out the latest news below for more on his current fantasy value.
October 20, 2014
Brown did not record a carry Saturday against North Carolina State.
ANALYSIS
Brown was coming off of a 17 carry, one touchdown outing at Clemson, and there has been no mention of an injury. Brown recovered an onside kick late in the contest, so he was dressed. The Louisville backfield is one of the most frustrating in the nation to figure out, as Michael Dyer became the fourth different back to have a 100-yard game in the contest.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2013
2012
Brown's 2012 redshirt year was evidently very good for his development at running back, as the former quarterback proved effective as both a runner (825 yards, eight touchdowns) and receiver (24 catches for 228 yards and one touchdown). Given the graduation of Senorise Perry, it might be tempting to expect even bigger numbers from Brown in 2014, but his numbers will more than likely stay the same, making Brown a prime candidate to get overdrafted in fantasy leagues. Louisville plans to rotate its running backs heavily this year, and Brown will struggle to reach the 15-carry mark most weeks with all of Michael Dyer, L.J. Scott and Brandon Radcliff all pushing for snaps.
Last season’s leading rusher, Jeremy Wright, will not be returning to school, leaving the Cardinals’ running back situation somewhat up in the air. Rising senior Senorise Perry suffered a knee injury late last season and may not be ready in time for the 2013 season. In steps Dominique Brown, who did not see the field in 2012 after tearing his MCL early in the year. He’s a converted quarterback with enough size (6-2, 220) to run between the tackles. Brown was impressive in spring workouts, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries in the Cardinals’ spring game. He’ll likely open the season as the starter, with Perry shouldering part of the load upon his return from injury.
The Louisville offense really struggled to run last year, and moving Brown from quarterback to running back turned out to be the team's best option. Brown isn't exceptionally athletic by running back standards, but he is a strong runner who should have the inside track for the goal-line work in a Teddy Bridgewater offense that should be decent in 2012. Brown is worth owning in Big East-only leagues after scoring four times in the final seven weeks of 2011.
