Harris was listed as co-starter with Diocemy Saint Juste on Hawaii's depth chart, yet Harris had seven fewer carries than DSJ, and four fewer than Steven Lakalaka. It's not clear whether a disciplinary situation of some sort played a role in this carry distribution, but there's never been any evidence that Lakalaka could match Harris on a merit basis. Still, the bigger story may be Saint Juste's dominant showing, as he turned his 14 carries into 118 yards and a touchdown. It's a tough twist of poor luck for Harris, but he looks likely to remain no higher than second in the Hawaii runner rotation despite running for 1,143 yards and six touchdowns on just 198 carries last year (5.8 YPC).
