Sneed announced Tuesday that he is transferring from UNLV, Ray Brewer of the Las Vegas Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Widespread injury issues resulted in Sneed seeing time at both quarterback and wide receiver during his redshirt freshman season. He showed some flashes as a runner while playing quarterback, running for 348 yards and a touchdown with a 6.1 YPC average. He was moved to receiver late in the season, and according to the report, the coaching staff considered moving him there full time. However, Brewer also notes that Sneed intends to transfer where he can play quarterback. UNLV will have Armani Rogers, Johnny Stanton, and Kurt Palandech compete for the starting job in 2017.
