Applies for medical exemption
Undisclosed
July 31, 2017
Williams (undisclosed) applied for a medical exemption, Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Reports came out Saturday that Williams may not play in his senior season due to an undisclosed injury, and it seems that plan is coming into fruition. In applying for a medical exemption, Williams would be able to stay on scholarship without it counting against the program's limit of 85. It would also effectively end Williams' college football career. He has appeared in just 15 games over the course of his three seasons as a Bulldog.
