Ankle
November 23, 2016
Williams (ankle) returned to practice earlier in the week and is expected to play Saturday against Utah State, Jay Drew of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
The star running back is expected to return Saturday after a two-game absence due to an ankle injury. According to Drew, head coach Kalani Sitake said that the offense "will run through" Williams provided that he's fully healthy. If that is indeed the case, look for Williams to push for close to the 23 carries he was averaging prior to suffering the injury.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2013
Williams (6-0, 200) was quietly productive in his freshman and sophomore seasons, proving to be a true three-down workhorse with the ability to make an impact as a receiver, too. He rushed for 1,925 yards (5.3 YPC) and 18 touchdowns in his last 21 games, adding 437 yards and a touchdown on 44 receptions for 16.7 fantasy points per game (20.8 in PPR). Although BYU has some talent behind him at RB, Williams appears unchallenged for the starting job, and he could benefit from the best blocking of his career as BYU brings back its entire starting offensive line.
Williams seemingly came out of nowhere as a freshman, making the much more established Michael Alisa a complete afterthought in the BYU offense after the first month of the season. Despite carrying the ball just 18 times in the first four weeks and dealing with a dysfunctional passing game for most of the year, Williams ran for 775 yards (4.7 YPC) and 12 touchdowns while catching 27 passes for 315 yards and a touchdown. Williams' consistency was impressive, as he seemed relatively matchup-proof while totaling 583 yards and seven touchdowns from scrimmage against a brutal schedule of Utah State, Oregon State, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and San Jose State.
